- All members shall behave in a responsible, professional and sportsmanlike manner when on and off the water having the best interests of the club & the sport of rowing in general in mind at all times.
- It is the intention that GUSPRC and its members protect, look after and care for the marine environment within which the sport is enjoyed.
- The club is a community sports facility for the use of, benefit of and enjoyment of the Gold Coast community in general.
- All club members shall go to the aid of and/or assist any and all other rowers or other persons on or using the water where safety, assistance or personal well being is deemed to be in jeopardy.
- It is the responsibility of all club members to further the growth of (and interest in) the sport of rowing in general.
- In accordance with our safety protocols of GUSPRC all rowers must comply with the competency requirements of the club prior to being allowed on the water.
- The club captain (Gordon Cameron) applies and administers the policy set by the club management committee. The club captain has the final say in all matters regarding safety, boat & equipment use, boat handling, regatta attendance, club protocol, membership & club systems integration.
- In the event a rower requires further instruction (or a further a refresher course) before letting them out on the water it shall be at the rowers own cost.
